Like We Didn’t Know

Found an online nerd test. Like we didn’t know what the score was going to be.

I am nerdier than 93% of all people. Are you nerdier? Click here to find out!

Take the test and post your scores in the comments…

UPDATE: I didn’t know that y’all can’t post images, so just post your scores in the comments. Can anyone honestly beat my score?

  1. Actually, in the pilot episode of Star Trek, entitled “The Cage”, Spock smiles at the discovery of a plant on the surface.

Granted, the Vulcan character had not quite been fleshed out, so this could be considered a glitch, but he was a Vulcan, and he did smile.

  2. Whoops…shows my lack of nerdiness that I couldn’t get the graphic to show up the first time (and maybe not this time-hey, I’m only a 41)…sad…

  3. Um….at the risk of losing my “not really a nerd” status, Mr. Spock is only half Vulcan (the other half being human), therefore his smiling may be one of the times where his human side has “won out” over his Vulcan side. Also, there was an episode (though I can’t tell you which) where Spock goes crazy and laughs.

  4. Sorry, Susan… I just realized that y’all can’t post pictures in the comments. Billy’s worked because I posted it there, but normal readers can’t.

So, it’s not your fault. It’s the fault of my blog software. I can see why they would do that, but I’m trying to figure out whether I want to keep that feature.

  5. I am shocked in disbelief. Didn’t think anyone could be nerdier than Tom, but *gasp* Mike seems to be the nerdiest of them all. Is there such thing as 100% Nerd? If so, are they capable of functioning amongst the mortals? Perhaps, but it would probably be painful for them.

The episode was called “This side of Paradise”. Spock was “infected” with the spores of the strange looking flowers that allowed them to survive the Berthold Rays the planet was being bombarded by. So, he was not really himself on that occasion.

However, He DID have a genuine smile and was rather excited in the episode “Amok Time”, where Spock feels an irresistable urge to return home to Vulcan to mate, when he discovers that Captain Kirk was not really dead. His emotions and the intensity of them may have still been affected by Pon Far, but that is a normal Vulcan physiological and emotional state.
